September 27 - October 5, 2014

This past Saturday Dénes and I got back from a technical II vertical training workshop trip held in the northeastern part of Hungary. The 10-day workshop took place in the Aggtelek National Park in Hungary, located right next to the border with Slovakia. Students of the workshop learned several advanced rope techniques, including cave rigging and setup, anchor points, belay systems, and pulley systems. They also learned about the various details of rig systems, to include the various types of ropes and carabiners and their characteristics, and about vertical rope rescue techniques such as the single rope pick off.
